A military eID card is an identification card issued by the military authorities to its active duty, reserve, and veteran personnel, as well as to all the associates.
Military authorities have a complex ranking and authorization system. All the relevant information about a specific person has to be placed on a Military eID card – printed information, visual card design and electronic data stored on the chip.
Application registration can be initiated using a secure military web portal. Then, enrollment of applicant’s biographical and biometric data can be performed at the registration office.
Typical data that can be printed on the card and stored on the chip:
- Biographical information (name, surname, date of birth, address, marital status)
- Biometric data (Photo, fingerprints, iris image)
- Personal ID number
- Rank
- Card issuance / expiration date
- Service status (active-duty, retired, contractor, depentdence)
- Service /Agency / Department
It is important to note that the specific details placed on the Military eID card may vary greatly, depending on the card type, issuing organization and the applicable laws and regulations.
Along with serving for general identification purposes, military eID can perform variety of functions – access to military objects, authentication in secure computer networks and systems, electronic information encryption and signing, etc.
A weapon permit card, also known as a firearms license, is a document that authorizes an individual to possess and carry firearms. The requirements for obtaining a weapon permit vary by jurisdiction, but typically include a background check, proof of firearms training and a fee payment confirmation.

A Digital Military ID is an electronic version of a Military ID card that is stored and accessed on a device such as a smartphone or tablet. It serves the same purpose as a traditional physical ID card, but with the added convenience of being accessible from a digital device. A Digital Military ID may include the same information as a traditional Military eID card, such as the holder’s name, photograph, military ranking, and other personal information.
The use of digitalized IDs is becoming more common as technology advances. Digital Military ID makes identity verification simple and secure, also allowing to take control over data sharing process with no need to carry physical ID.
Similar to physical Military eID cards, Digital Military ID can perform variety of functions – access to military objects, authentication in secure computer networks and systems, electronic information encryption and signing, etc.
Digital Military ID application can be made available for authorized users in Android or Apple app stores.
