The reader's device functions are:

Full page scanning of documents in white, UV, IR and co-axial light:

• ID-1 format (identification card).
• ID-2 format (visa, passport-card).
• ID-3 (passport).

Retrieving data from document:

• Capturing image - white, IR, UV and coaxial light.
• Image format BMP, JPEG, PCX, TGA, TIFF.
• Document type recognition regardless of format and design.
• Reading text (ICAO and non-ICAO complaint documents): machine readable and visual control zone.
• Reading barcodes1D, 2D.
• Reading personal and biometric data from contact and contactless chips. 

Document authenticity verification:

• Verification of textual completion. 
• Verification of security elements in UV light.
• Verification of elements authenticity in IR light.
• Visualization of invisible images (IPI - invisible personal information). 

Optional functions:

• Operative visual authenticity control: retrieving images and description of specimens from document reference database Frontline Document System and Passport to perform comparative visual analysis.

•  Software includes module to verify fingerprints providing identification of document owner by fingerprint image recorded in the chip. 

MOBILE WORKSTATION series 8303 - 8333

This is mobile, fast document reader with low energy consumption, that reads data from machine readable documents, controls data conformity with ICAO and ISO standards and verifies authenticity of documents.

The workstation ensures capturing the full-page document images using different lighting modes: white light, IR light, UV light and coaxial light and use of additional capabilities aimed at document.

Software allows to:

• Select the document image in the captured frame and perform its preliminary processing to compensate the illumination and contrast unevenness.
• Read information from the document MRZ.
• Identify document type and provide users with image and description of sample document from document database.
• Read information from RFID-tags.
• Read text information from the document visual zone.
• Read 1D and 2D barcodes.
• Verify the document authenticity by:

• compliance with the rules of filling it in;
• image features under IR light;
• availability or absence of UV fluorescence;
• MRZ checksumming;
• comparing information from the document MRZ and visual zone;
• other features.
