Consultancy project for EMV issuing certification

In order to meet the MasterCard standards for EMV banking cards, X InfoTech provided professional assistance and consultancy for certification on the EMV issuing project for Santander Consumer Bank AG in Germany.

MasterCard has issued a mandate for European banks that all offline capable cards issued after 01.01.2011 should use DDA standard, which is more secure than SDA. Santander Consumer Bank AG had to submit for the approval test card and send it to MasterCard to verify compliance with these standards.

Santander Consumer Bank AG had chosen X InfoTech to provide professional assistance during the EMV migration project for MasterCard cards.

X InfoTech assisted in risk profile definition, and CPV form preparation for MasterCard during the EMV migration to DDA cards. Additionally, X InfoTech assisted Santander Consumer Bank by assigning a responsible technical engineer during project implementation, to identify and adjust technical issues and to correct them. X InfoTech personnel were technically managing the project and helped to establish inter-operability among transaction processing centers (responsible for EMV data preparation), the bank itself, and the personalization service bureau.

In cooperation with X InfoTech, Santander Consumer Bank AG in Germany gathered initial experience by starting EMV card issuance and successfully passed MasterCard approval of EMV compliance.
